Before Tuesday night's Pacers vs. Heat matchup, the newly re-named New Orleans Pelicans found out where they will pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

Before any NBA games tipped off on the hardwood, the NBA figured out when the NBA teams who did not qualify for the postseason will pick in the upcoming NBA Draft on June 27.

In the annual NBA Draft Lottery, the ball bounced in favor of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs were awarded the first pick in the draft.

The newly re-named New Orleans Pelicans, coached by Monty Williams and owned by Saints owner Tom Benson, drew the sixth pick in June's draft.

Going into the lottery, the Pelicans had only a 8.80 percent chance of landing the first pick and an 29.13 percent chance of being in the top three.

The Dallas Mavericks, who did not qualify for the postseason since the 2000 season, will pick 13th.
