SILVIS, Ill. (AP) — Masters and U.S. Open champ Jordan Spieth is skipping the Scottish Open this week to play in the John Deere Classic in Silvis, Illinois. With the British Open next week at St. Andrews in Scotland many of the top players are already on the other side of the Atlantic getting ready.

Spieth won this event in 2013 as a 19-year-old to become the first teenager to win on the PGA Tour.

The winner of the John Deere last year was Brian Harman.
