Louisiana Comic Cons: Meet Comic Creators At Peli Con 2026
Good news for comic con fans in Louisiana...Peli Con is officially gearing up for its fourth year. This will be the show's second year at the Anthony Dugas Recreation Center in Denham Springs, and it looks like they're putting together a big one for 2026.
The whole idea behind the show is to bring the community together and help everyone feed their hobbies. It's all about building your collection and just having a good time under one roof.
So What Exactly is Peli Con?
If you've never been, this looks like a full-on family-fun event. They're promising all the stuff con fans look for...comics, gaming, art, trading cards, and tons of collectibles.
On top of that, they're holding a cosplay contest, a video game contest, and even a doodle contest. Add in panels, food, and more, and it sounds like they are packing the place out.
Who Are the Comic Creator Guests at Peli Con?
You can't have a great con without great guests, and Peli Con is bringing in some solid comic creators for fans to meet. The guest list so far includes Roland Paris, Tone Rodriguez, Jason Turner, Robby Musso, and Carlos Mendieta.

Want to Be a Peli Con Vendor or Sponsor?
It also looks like there's still room for more vendors and artists who want to be part of the show. If you want to set up a booth, they have the exhibitor application online right on their website.
And for any local businesses looking to get involved, there's a sponsorship application available too. We'll be keeping an eye on this one as more announcements come out.
Peli Con Has Put A Ban On A.I. Art For Their Events
The team behind Peli Con has been very vocal about their approach to A.I. "art" that has been popping up on the convention scene. Founder of Peli Con, Cory Daigrepont said
"Peli Con doesn't support AI of any form at this time due to how it is being used in the artist, publishing, and film industries. It takes away job opportunities and/or causes cut backs, steals artwork and blends them together to make "art" in some cases, lacks creativity or original ideas and causes perhaps more issues than mentioned.
Peli Con was founded based off my love for comics, art, writing, and the film industry. I find AI takes away from all of those creative individuals behind the industries mentioned. I think what creates art is the human mind and heart speaking to our hands to create or edit within our capabilities. We also don't need AI acting or writing/directing for us, we have something with a heart and soul that do just fine called human beings.
It takes heart and soul to give it a geaux, not AI."
The show has stated that they will not accept any vendors who use A.I. "art", and if a vendor is found to be selling anything made by A.I. they will "act accordingly" with the vendor.
