Bossier City became the Wild, Wild West last night at the Professional Bull Rider's Tour held at CenturyLink Center. I took my kids and we enjoyed the sights and sounds of cowboys hanging onto "Moonshine" for dear life. Moonshine - the Bull, that is.

There were some cowboys who could only hold on for a second or two, but then several who went the full distance, and that brought cheers from the crowd.

It was almost like the lyrics to the Tim McGraw song, "Live Like We're Dying."

"I went 2.7 seconds on a Bull named Foo Man Chu."

Until last night, I'd never seen Michael Jackson doing lasso tricks. But this cowboy, who looked just like the pop star, dazzled the crowd with rope tricks to the tune of "Beat It."

If you missed it last night, you can catch it tonight. The Bossier City Invitational PBR Touring Pro Division starts at 8 pm. Bring some extra cash for souvenirs like the "Wheezer." That's a cowboy's boomerang that keeps coming back when you throw it. And it doesn't smell like a cow patty!
