Fall is in the air and with it being the final weekend of the Red River Revel, it's time to get out and enjoy all there is to enjoy in the Ark-La-Tex!
The Red River Revel is a part of life here in Shreveport/Bossier is and pretty much the unofficial kick off to all things fall! Who doesn't remember field trips with sand art and face painting? This is the final weekend of the Revel and the big performance everyone is looking forward to is Switchfoot Saturday night at 7:30pm with hits like Dare You to Move and Meant to Live. Of course, the Revel is family friendly with hundreds of vendors, food offerings and activities that completely overtake downtown Shreveport's Festival Plaza and the surrounding area!
20 films, 8 bands and 11 chefs are battling it out during Prize Fest which runs through Saturday. There is literally so much going on, it's too much to list here so hit the link above for all the different times and locations and how to vote for your favorites!
Artipsy is hosting two different events this week with Ladies Night Out Paint and Sip Friday and Dinner and the Arts Saturday. Tickets for Friday are $30 and the subject is 'Shade of Pink.' TIckets for Saturday are $70. The event starts at 7pm and marries multiple genres of art into a unique experience with a gourmet meal created by Mark Myers, Jr.
DixieMaze Farms is open for business and not only can you brave their annual corn maze and haunted attractions, their pumpkin patch is open for the little ones!
I always have to brag on my awesome husband who has put on this tournament the last two years. It's already full, but you can always come by and meet some of the amazing members of the Mighty Krewe of Centaur™ at the Northwood Country Club Saturday from 10am-5pm!
