One Body Found In Red River Has Been Identified
Saturday, two bodies were pulled from the Red River, and one of the men have now been identified as 40-year-old Ramseize Williams of Shreveport.
Williams' remains were found in the river under the Interstate 20 bridge just after 1 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, and were identified through fingerprints.
According to John Prime, spokesman for the Caddo Coroner:
An autopsy was conducted to determine the cause of death. Investigation into Mr. Williams' demise continues. Also continuing are efforts to determine the identity of a man whose remains were found a few hours later in the river near the Marie and Charles Hamel Memorial Park near the southern terminus of the Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway.
Authorities are also investigating a third fatality where a man died in Jeems Bayou off Caddo Lake Sunday, February 19, 2017. The Caddo Sheriff's Marine Unit recovered the body of 41-year-old George Houston III of Shreveport. Houston's body was recovered from the bottom of the bayou not far from an empty boat that was tied to a tree. Witnesses say that the boat had been occupied a short time before.
