NFL Films Icon Steve Sabol Dies at 69

Steve Sabol has lost his battle with brain cancer.  He was 69.  Steve Sabol, president of NFL Films and the son of founder Ed Sabol was diagnosed with brain cancer 18 months ago.  Steve Sabol changed our perceptions of the NFL and it's players as well as the way NFL games are broadcast.

Steve's father Ed was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last year.  Steve and his father received the Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award in 2003.

Steve's features from NFL Films had the ability to make fans laugh and cry.  Most of all, they gave us glimpses of players and coaches that we'd never seen before.
