One man is found shot to death in a car in the Highland neighborhood in Shreveport.
This brings the number of murders for the year to 86 which ties the record set back in 1993 when the city was dealing with a wave of gang violence.

Officers say the unidentified man was taken to Ochsner LSU Health where he was pronounced dead. He had been shot in the chest.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired at about 4:40 a.m. Saturday morning in the 1800 block of Highland when the victim was found sitting in a car.

Police have not released any additional details and no arrests have been made.
