I saw a thread on Reddit asking folks about the normal everyday word that they hate so much they can't stand to hear it spoken or see it in print. So, I decided to poll folks in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA to see if our most hated 'words' line up with the rest of the country.

No surprise here. The number one word people didn't want to hear or even read on Reddit was 'moist.' That poor word gets a bad rap, but there are a few others that I couldn't help but agree with about hating or nodding my head about in commiseration.

Moist was the big winner for the most hated word in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA, but one that came up that surprised me was the phrase 'hot cocoa.' That was a new one for me. A few of the others making the list were bougie, literally, coagulate, ain't, influencer, no, bea, panties, boo, like, whatever, and bet.

While I don't have the research to back this up, I think it's safe to say that 'moist' might be the most hated word in the entire English language.
