Tonight, Shreveport and Hirsch Coliseum will be on a world wide stage as the Miss USA competition will be shown on Fox. The show will be a historic one. For the first time ever, the winner will be crowned by an all female panel.

The 2 hour special will be hosted by Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa. There will also be live musical performances from Lachey and 98 Degrees as well as Lee Brice. To get a preview of tonight's event and see what George's Pond will look like, you can watch the preliminary competition here. 

And tonight's event is a special on for Shreveport/Bossier. According to the Miss USA website:

The 2018 MISS USA® marks the 20th anniversary of the competition's first appearance in the sister cities of Shreveport-Bossier.

 

The competition starts at 7 pm. If you would like to attend, limited tickets are still available at missuniverse.com.

The pageant and all the surrounding events is expected to generate huge money for Shreveport/Bossier. Economists predict that the Miss USA competition will have an economic impact of 4.5 million dollars for our area. Some predict the number could be closer to 5 million dollars.
