If you watched professional wrestling at any point in the 80s or 90s, you've seen the Ugandan Giant Kamala perform in a wrestling ring. Kamala started making a name for himself in the Mid South Wrestling territory for Bill Watts. In fact, one of his most famous matches before jumping to the WWE happened right here in Shreveport against Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

However, Kamala may be most widely known for his 1992 feud with the Undertaker. It's the feud where the Undertaker famously hand built a casket for Kamala leading up to their casket match at Survivor Series 1992.

Sadly, it sounds like the wrestling icon may not be with us for much longer. According to a Facebook post from his step daughter Juanita, Kamala (real name James Harris) is on life support following an emergency operation to save his life this week. Juanita posted that James is showing some signs of improvement but has a long way to go.

Harris was diagnosed with diabetes in 1992 and had to have both of his legs amputated in 2012.
