The University of Louisiana - Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns kept things close through the first half of their game against Maryland Friday night, but a little trouble in the middle innings were enough to give the Terrapins the win.

ULL got the scoring started by pushing a run across the plate in the bottom of the fourth, but couldn't add anymore. But in the top of the fifth, Maryland was able to but up three runs to take a lead they wouldn't give up.

The Terrapins added another run in the top of the sixth inning to wrap up their scoring for the night, but enough damage had been done.

The Cajuns tried to stage a comeback in the bottom of the either inning, getting another run over the plate to set the score at 4-2, but that's where the night would end. ULL was shut out over their last three outs in the ninth to secure the win for Maryland.
