If LSU is to advance to the NCAA College World Series, they will have to shatter Cinderella's glass slipper.

Stony Brook, located 60 miles east of New York City and known much more for education than athletics, will be the Tigers' opponent in the Baton Rouge Super Regional which runs Friday-Sunday.

Monday, Stony Brook became just the third #4 seed to win its region since the tournament expanded to 64 teams. The Seawolves defeated #3 Central Florida 10-6.

LSU (46-16) and Stony Brook (50-12) will play a best two-out-of-three series starting Friday at 11am. Saturday's game will also start at 11am. If necessary, Sunday's first pitch will be at Noon. You can hear each game LIVE on 1130 The Tiger. Each contest will be televised on ESPN2.

The Tigers earned their way into the Super Regional by defeating Oregon State twice and the University of Louisiana-Monroe last weekend at Alex Box Stadium.

Stony Brook, which plays in the America East conference, went 4-1 in regional action, including winning three straight games in two days.
