Joyeux Carnaval: You’re Invited to LSUS’s Homecoming Activities 2026

Rev the River Monster has his beads, king cake, and masks ready to roll across campus for Homecoming 2026 — and the community is invited, too.

Beloved student homecoming traditions all will have a Mardi Gras flavor this year as the two celebrations overlap on the calendar. Students will blend beads and bling at the pep rally, bonfire, and themed dress-up days, while community members can enjoy virtual brown bag lectures, an alumni awards brunch, a parade, and (of course) the basketball games.

Homecoming week is Feb. 9-15, 2026, but the biggest events are Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026:

• Virtual Brown Bag Lecture, 11am - 12pm, Zoom
• Tailgate, 4pm - 6:30pm, Location TBD
• Women's Basketball Game, 5:30pm, HPE Gym
• Men's Basketball Game, 7:30pm, HPE Gym
• Homecoming Court Crowning, Halftime of the Men's Game

Community members also have two parades they can enjoy: Pilots on Parade is Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, and the homecoming court will ride in the Highland Mardi Gras Parade at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026.
