LSU QB Anthony Jennings and Three Other Players Arrested
Quarterback Anthony Jennings, cornerback Dwayne Thomas and defensive tackle Maquedius Bain are charged with unauthorized entry into a inhabited dwelling after entering the home of another student. Thomas was also booked on simple burglary.
A few hours earlier, defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao was arrested on simple battery and simple robbery. No word yet if the two cases are related.
LSU coach Les Miles immediately suspended all four players and has met with them, according to a statement from the coach released to The Advocate.
“We are still working with campus housing and the authorities to determine what exactly took place,” Miles said in the statement. “This is an ongoing investigation and our players will cooperate fully.”
This opens the door for Parkway High's Brandon Harris who has been competing with Jennings for the starting job.
