LSU Places 8 on Coaches All-SEC Preseason Teams

The SEC released the Coaches ALL-SEC preseason teams, maybe the biggest surprise is that Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel was voted the quarterback to the ALL-SEC 2nd team. Georgia’s Aaron Murray was elected to the 1st team. LSU had eight selections in all including defensive tackle Anthony Johnson and safety Craig Loston to the first team.

Odell Beckham Jr hit the trifecta, being named three times. First team as a return man, second team as an all-purpose player and third team as a wide receiver.

Linebacker Lamin Barrow was named 2nd team.  Tailback Alfred Blue, and offensive tackle La’el Collins were named to the 3rd team.
