Today is one of the biggest days of the year in the state of Louisiana. The day that LSU's football team takes the field for the first official game could be a moving holiday in Louisiana every year.

Really, it already is, there just doesn't seem to be anything official.

But today could be bigger than normal. This is the first "all in" season for coach Ed Orgeron, and some believe the team is stacked with enough talent to make a playoff run.

Here's more on tonight's game from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"A lot of Louisiana residents will spend their Saturday with college football. The headliner is LSU versus BYU at the Mercedes Benz Superdome at 8:30. The Tigers will debut a new offense and on defense they will look to generate a pass rush without All-American edge rusher Arden Key, who is out as he recovers from shoulder surgery."
