LSU Frames The Quarterback Battle Ahead Of Spring Game
When former Parkway (Bossier City) quarterback Brandon Harris announced he would be moving on from LSU before next season, the popular opinion was that Danny Etling was a lock for the starting job. He started 10 games for the team last year, and held onto the starting role with conviction.
But...today it was made clear that he's still going to have to work for it. Here's what the Louisiana Radio Network got today:
"LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron said today Danny Etling will not be given the starting quarterback position, he’ll have to earn it. Orgeron says there will be an open competition for starting Q-B during spring practice as Justin McMillan, Lindsey Scott and Lowell Narcisse will also battle for the job. But Orgeron also said that Etling has had an excellent offseason."
