LSU Defeats Oregon State–One Win Away from Advancing to Super Regional

Starting pitcher Kevin Gausman pitched eight innings of one run ball, and LSU gradually pulled away to defeat Oregon State 7-1 in a winner's bracket game in the Baton Rouge region of the NCAA Baseball Tournament Saturday night.

Nick Goody came on in the ninth to close out the Tigers' second straight win in the double-elimination tournament. LSU will next play Sunday night at 6:30, against the winner of Sunday afternoon's elimination game between Oregon State and the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
