LSU Could Play on New Years Day with Some More Wins
If LSU is able to win its final three games, the Tigers are in position to play in one of the New Years Six bowl games. CBS-sports-dot-com Senior Writer Jerry Palm says the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans is a possibility for the Tigers. If Georgia doesn’t make the four-team playoff, or if the Bulldogs do not finish higher than LSU in the college football playoff rankings, than LSU will end up at the Sugar Bowl.
Three more wins would secure LSU their first 10-win season of the Ed Orgeron era, and their first since 2013. If LSU does end up in the Sugar Bowl, it will be the first time since 2007 (the 2006 season). But 07 wasn't the last time that LSU played their bowl game at the Superdome in New Orleans. LSU's two National Championship appearances in the BCS era both took place at the Superdome (2008 and 2012).
