The LSU Baseball team won a big game last night versus Auburn.

The Tigers won 6-2 as freshman pitcher Ma’Khail Hilliard found a way to outpitch Auburn’s top pitcher, Casey Mize.

It's likely that Mize, will be the number one pick in next month’s Major League Baseball Draft. But last night, Mize gave up four runs in the sixth inning to take his fourth loss of the season.

On the other side, Hilliard gave up two runs over 7.1 innings to improve to a record of 9-4. On the offensive side for the Tigers, Zach Watson started the four run rally with a one out double, and had three hits on the night.

The Tigers will continue to make their case for the NCAA Baseball Tournament this afternoon, as they try to win the series from Auburn. First pitch is set for 1pm, and you can hear it across the Ark-La-Tex on 1130 The Tiger.
