
LSU Assistant Mike Caputo Heading To Utah St.
LSU is losing a graduate assistant to a school in the Mountain West Conference.
An All-American safety at Wisconsin during his collegiate playing days, Caputo played for current Utah St. head coach Gary Andersen, while both were with the Badgers.
As a safety at Wisconsin from 2012-15, Caputo played in 53 games, making 40 starts, recording 244 total tackles, including 10.0 tackles for loss, while adding three interceptions, and 20 passes defended.
Voted a second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) following his junior campaign, Caputo spent time in training camp with the New Orleans Saints in 2016.
