Reports are surfacing that the Louisiana Swashbucklers are no more, and that even the Saturday's final home game for the team has been cancelled.

Sources say that the interests who bankroll the Swashbucklers have pulled their backing on the team and surrendered the franchise.  The American Press also reports that "lack of ticket sales" is the underlying cause of the franchise's folding.

The team has been transferred to the Pro Indoor Football League, and it is currently unknown what will happen to team members' careers or if they'll be allowed to finish the current season in some fashion or another.

The Press also reports that "(t)hose holding tickets for Saturday night’s game against Alabama can go to their source of purchase for a refund."

There are also three remaining road games now in question.
