Louisiana College Student Michaela ‘Mickey’ Shunick Still Missing

Michaela is a 22-year-old anthropology major at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

According to Lafayette Police she was last seen on May 19 at about 2:00 a.m. while riding a bicycle.

Supporters got together Tuesday night to pray for her safe return. There were hundreds of concerned friends and family at a vigil for Michaela "Mickey" Shunick in Lafayette.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Louisiana State Police are also in the investigation. Police say the investigation will intensify during the coming days, according to ABC News.

Longtime friend Lindsay Beggs recently told The Huffington Post,  "We feel strongly that she's alive and that we're going to find her. We are extremely hopeful."
