Buc-ee's, the beloved rest stop franchise, is opening its largest location yet in Luling, Texas. This isn't just any opening—it's a significant one for the franchise. Buc-ee's journey began as a humble gas station in 1982, later expanding to its first travel center in 2003, right in Luling. The original location bid farewell at 10 p.m. on Sunday, making way for the grand opening of the new site at 6 a.m. on Monday.

Since its debut, Buc-ee's has evolved into a haven for travelers, offering a variety of beloved items. Stephanie Green, a San Antonio resident, always grabs her favorite iced tea and jerky while meeting her son from San Marcos at the New Braunfels location. Joshua Perez, who frequently travels from San Antonio to Dallas, swears by their fresh barbecue, praising the diverse options.
