It certainly goes without saying that the Texas Motor Speedway located in Fort Worth, Texas has been known as one of the most divisive race tracks in all of NASCAR history. But it also goes without saying that there have been some truly historic moments in the track history & history was made this past weekend during the Xfinity Series race.

Texas Motor Speedway saw one of the closest photo finishes in NASCAR history on Saturday.

In the closing laps of the race, Ryan Sieg in the #39 was leading, looking to score his first Xfinity series race. That was until Sam Mayer in the #1 was able to catch up in the very last lap. In an epic battle coming off turn four, what we got was truly an amazing history.

Sam Mayer was able to edge out Ryan Sieg and won with a margin of 0.002 seconds, getting Sam his 5th career win. That is without a doubt, unbelievably close. In fact, this ties for being the 2nd closest photo finish in the Xfinity Series.

While it may not be THE CLOSEST finish in NASCAR, it certainly is one of the closest (maybe THE closest) photo finish in the history of the Texas Motor Speedway.

The last time we saw a photo finish at Texas Motor Speedway in NASCAR was during the 2004 Samsung/Radio Shack 400; where Elliott Sadler beat Kasey Kahne with a margin of 0.028 seconds. Still pretty darn close.

That wasn't the ONLY photo finish we've seen in 2024 for NASCAR.

2024 is looking to be a really competitive year in NASCAR; it was just a little over a month ago that we saw a three-way tie at the Atlanta motor speedway, giving us another amazing finish. Daniel Suarez was able to beat Kyle Busch and last year's champion, Ryan Blaney. He won by a 0.003 second margin.

We barely 2 months into the season and yet we’ve seen two amazing photo finishes; it’s only a matter of time before we see another amazing finish like during this season.
