In Galveston residents had the pleasure of sighting a 7-foot western diamondback, enjoying just a nice day in the sun. I’m being extremely sarcastic. Of course, this is terrifying. The 7-inch Snakes were encountered in Galveston but fishermen also unexpectedly saw rattlesnakes in Port Aransas last summer the Austin Travis County EMS team sent 18 venomous snakebite patients to the hospital during a 12 period month.

Remember, we want all Texans to enjoy the summer and our beautiful beaches, but walking barefoot and not watching exactly where you’re going could make a difference between enjoying a beautiful day and going to the hospital behind a snakebite. Enjoy your summer in Texas, please be aware that snakes are trying to enjoy it with you so watch out!
