Powerball Confirms – $50,000 Louisiana Winner Sold at Circle K

Lottery players in Louisiana have once again flexed their Powerball luck with another big win in the multi-state lottery game. Last night, December 18, 2023, the Powerball game held its Monday drawing, and while there was no jackpot winner, there was a big win in Louisiana.

The Powerball jackpot ahead of Monday's drawing was estimated to be $544 million.  That jackpot has been growing since October 11th of this year when a single ticket won the game's top prize which at the time was more than $1.76 billion. There have been 28 different Powerball drawings since that billion-dollar-plus win and that's how the game has gotten to its current jackpot amount.

You may verify those numbers at the official Powerball website. That site also confirms there was no single ticket that matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize. There were also no tickets sold that satisfied the requirements for Match 5 with Power Play. But, two tickets were one million dollar winners for Match 5 without Power Play, those tickets were sold in North Carolina and New York.

Lottery players in Texas are looking a little jealous of Louisiana this morning as far as the Powerball is concerned. There were no tickets sold in Texas that earned a Powerball prize of more than $300. However, there were 17 of those, and another 42 $100 winners sold for Monday's game in the Lone Star State.

Meanwhile, in Louisiana, luck was a lot more of a lady here. Granted Texas players earned more $300 and $100 prizes than Louisiana players did a single ticket sold in The Boot will cash out for $50,000. Incidentally, Louisiana had six $100 winners from last night and seven $300 winners from last night.

The $50,000 Powerball winner that was sold in Louisiana for the December 18, 2023, drawing matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball. The ticket purchaser did not opt-in on the Power Play when they bought the ticket at 4415 Floynell Drive location of Circle K in Baton Rouge.
