(Lafayette, Louisiana) - The Ragin' Cajuns were on national television Thursday night as they took on Arkansas State, and one special moment during the game was caught on camera..

The Cajuns game was on ESPN Thursday night, and if you watched the game, you probably were on the edge of your seat for the entire game.

Well, in the second quarter, UL Quarterback Lunch Winfield ran into the endzone for a Cajuns score, and standing near the wall that surrounds the playing field was a lone State Trooper. As Winfield ran through the endzone to score, he came face-to-face with the trooper, and the scoring QB extended his hand to the officer.

Without any hesitation, the Trooper shook Winfield's hand, and that was iit. You may be asking what's the big deal here. Well, this comes just days after a Texas State Trooper went viral for bumbling into a player who had scored, and if you missed that, let us remind you.

The Texas State Trooper who bumped into the South Carolina players sent home after the above incident, but the Trooper who greeted UL's quarterback after a touchdown had a much more pleasant interaction.

Check out as Winfield scores a touchdown, and then shakes hands with the Trooper who was on the sideline. Let me note here that ESPN showed the officer minutes after this interaction, and he was on his phone, likely because many were hitting up after his kind gesture was seen on national television.

UL defeated Arkansas State 34-30, and the game came down to the last play. Watch as the Cajuns stop Arkansas State to win the game Thursday night.
