Schedule Set for Shreveport Geek’d Week at Bear’s
Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back for another big year in Downtown Shreveport. The show started in 2015, and has grown into one of the premiere events in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Not only that, the show has been the largest consistently active comic con style show in the entire state of Louisiana.
The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center. Tickets for this year's Geek'd Con are available right now. You can get yours here.
The guest lineup will include award winning actor Billy Zane, Scrubs star John C. McGinley, the voice of Master Chief Steve Downes, from the Planet of the Apes franchise Kevin Durand, Walking Dead star David Morrissey, the voice of Mickey Mouse Bret Iwan, and many more incredibly talented celebrities. Including some great comic book creator talent.
Geek'd Con is a mash-up of celebrity meet and greets, geeky shopping, cosplay, games, prizes, and fun.
That shopping is a big part of the event. With more than 200 vendor spaces that will be occupied during the weekend, there's going to be something for everyone. From comic books, to collectibles, action figures, posters, shirts, custom artwork, handcrafted goods, and so much more. Most of it will be very geeky too.
There is always a ton of cosplay at Geek'd Con too. Including the annual Cosplay Contest, photo ops, and more. But hopefully you have more than one cosplay for this year, because there are going to be multiple other events across the city that week.
This year, Shreveport will once again be flooded with events the week of Geek'd Con. From trivia to goth nights, there will be a lot of opportunities to embrace your geeky side all week...oh, and to win prizes too. Check out the list of events here:
Bear's will be loaded down with entertainment and prizes all week. Not to mention free music too. The highlights might be Cosplay Karaoke and Goth Synth Night, but that's totally up to you. Because there won't be a scene if you don't make one.
