Book lovers in Bossier have been buzzing on social media, eager to confirm the rumors: is Books-A-Million making a comeback? The whispers are true. Crews are indeed remodeling a new bookstore location in North Bossier, bringing the beloved bookstore back to the area.

The bookstore isn't new to Bossier; there used to be a Books-A-Million on Airline Drive, and it closed down in 2014.

What is a Books-A-Million? The store is the second-largest chain of bookstores in America. With over 200 stores in 32 states, this store is every book lover's dream. If you thought that the days of epic bookstores opening up were done, think again. In a time where most people opt for an audiobook over a paperback book, this is so encouraging for avid readers all over Shreveport-Bossier.

Books-A-Million is also known for its online store at booksamillion.com. Books-A-Million’s goal is to "Serve each community with the best selection of books, toys, tech, and more, all at great prices."

The new Books-A-Million store is being remodeled, and it is right next to the Aldi in Bossier. Although an official opening date has not been announced, there is a QR code posted that gives residents information on how they can apply for a job at the new store. You can see the link to that QR code by clicking here.
