The LSU Fighting Tigers Baseball Team Just Got Its Own Holiday
It's official! In honor of the LSU Baseball team making it to the championship round of the 2023 Men's College World Series, the State of Louisiana is recognizing them with their own holiday.
You know you're kind of a big deal when the Secretary of State declares a holiday in your honor and that's exactly what's happened to our LSU Baseball team. After battling their way into the championship series, winning three elimination games this week, the Tigers will face off against the Florida Gators in a best-of-three series starting Saturday at 6 pm on ESPN and The Tiger. Because of their tenacity, talent, and hard work, Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin has issued a proclamation making Saturday, June 24, 2023, officially 'LSU Baseball Day' in Louisiana. How cool is that?
Game one of the best-of-three championship series kicks off tomorrow vs Florida at 6 pm. Game 2 will be played Sunday at 2 pm and if a third game is needed, they’ll play Monday at 6 pm. I don't want to say anything to jinx us, so I'll leave it at this. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
