Superintendent Takes Flight
An interesting look at two different local lifestyles, education, and the Air Force, meet head-on in a new Bossier Parish Schools (BPSB) video in their ongoing On the Record with Bossier Schools YouTube series.

BPSB Superintendent Jason Rowland had the opportunity to take flight on a B-52 with the 96th Bomb Squadron, remarking that it was "an experience of a lifetime." Rowland focuses on the connection between the school board and Barksdale as the Air Force base is the largest employer in Bossier Parish.
What some may find important from this video is a moment that confirmed what many Bossier residents have always suspected. Around four minutes into the video, there is an interview with an unnamed Airman who says "You've seen us fly and you've heard us. I'm sure we've woken you up at night," confirming that indeed everyone at Barksdale is aware exactly how annoying the sounds from above can be.
