50 Cent has always made his hustle mentality a part of his persona, and he's succeeded at this hustle so hard that he's made millions while being completely unaware of it. Back in 2014, when Bitcoin was a novelty among nerds and before Curtis "50 Cent' Jackson was turning Shreveport into the next Hollywood, 50 cashed in and forgot about it for years. Is the story of 50 Cent's accidental crypto fortune his ultimate flex?

The Accidental Crypto Mogul: How Animal Ambitions Made Millions

Animal Ambition was released in 2014, and according to 50 Cent, this album "is overall about prosperity, ambition, and has an entrepreneurial energy." The entrepreneurial energy he mentioned came in the form of a Bitcoin payment option when the album went on sale, which at the time was worth about $662 per Bitcoin. After the album release came and went, the rapper-turned-businessman made about 700 Bitcoin in sales, then forgot about cryptocurrency for a few years, like everyone else.

The price of crypto has skyrocketed since 2014, and now Bitcoin is worth 177 times more. Bitcoin is worth $117,500 for each full coin at the time of writing. When the album dropped, 50 made about $400,000 in 2014 Bitcoin, but in terms of 2025 Bitcoin, that would be worth approximately $82,250,000.

50 Cent is clearly proud of himself and his hustle mentality. Just check out his social media feed, and you'll see this guy has no shame in bragging. Back in 2018, when Bitcoin first started to rise, some people pointed out that 50 was probably sitting on a golden egg, which he then bragged about on social media. At the time, it was estimated that 50 Cent's crypto wallet would've been worth about $7-8 million. Making over $8 million without trying or remembering should count as the ultimate flex.
