Your Chance to Meet the Chimps at Chimp Haven’s Discovery Days
If you haven't yet had the opportunity to experience one of Chimp Haven's Discovery Days, your chance is coming soon. Twice a year, Chimp Haven,the world's largest chimpanzee sanctuary, opens their doors to the public for an exciting event the entire family can enjoy.
Chimp Haven, located in Keithville, Louisiana, houses more than 300 chimpanzees, most of which were once used in biomedical research. The sanctuary is located on over 200 wooded acres that allows the chimps to be able to live the remainder of their lives in a more natural surrounding, where they can climb trees, eat plenty of fresh fruit, and live their best life. Or, as Chimp Haven says, the "Chimp Life."
Chimp Haven offers the public an opportunity to observe the chimps during their twice-a-year event called Discovery Days. The next of which is coming up April 13th from 9A-12NOON.

What to Expect During Discovery Days
Visit Chimp Haven for this twice-annual experience where you’ll observe chimp families in their forested habitats and learn all about their lives at sanctuary. Behind-the-scenes hayride tours are available with an additional first-come, first-served ticket.

- Learn about life at sanctuary at interactive stations
- Take a hayride tour (optional; additional ticket required for all ages)
