SHREVEPORT, LA-    Shreveport police make an arrest in Sexual Assault Investigation

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 37-year-old Dustin McGee in connection with a sexual assault reported on January 5th, 2024.

On January 5th, officers responded to the 4500 block of Dixie Boulevard following a report of a domestic incident involving sexual assault. The Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Unit immediately commenced an investigation into the matter.

After a thorough investigation, on February 14th, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Dustin McGee on charges of Sexual Battery and one count of second-offense Domestic Abuse Battery.

On February 19th, the Shreveport Police K-9 Unit and the Shreveport Police Warrants Unit successfully located Dustin McGee hiding inside a residence in the 4500 block of Dixie Boulevard. McGee was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

The Shreveport Police Department is committed to thoroughly investigating all reports of sexual assault and holding perpetrators accountable for their actions. We encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault or who has information regarding such incidents to come forward and report to law enforcement.
