
Freeze Warning in Effect as Cold Front Sweeps Through Shreveport
The cold weather is here and it will put the area in the deep freeze for a couple of days. But things will warm back up quickly.
When Will the Cold Arrive in Shreveport
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for much of the Ark-La-Tex until Monday morning at 9am. This warning impacts all of north Louisiana, east Texas and southwest Arkansas.
How Cold Will It Get During this Blast
The temps in the Shreveport-Bossier area are expected to drop into the low 30’s Sunday night, but temps could dip into the 20’s for some parts of this region. The latest warning from the National Weather Service says portions of south central and southwest Arkansas could see temperatures drop as low as 23 degrees.
Will there Be Snow with this Cold Front?
Conditions are dry across the region and we don’t expect any winter precipitation during this blast of cold.
The high temp on Sunday will climb into the low 60’s and then temps will start to fall, dropping close to freezing overnight. The high temp on Monday will be in the mid 50’s in Shreveport-Bossier. Our low temp for Monday night will be much warmer. We will dip into the upper 40’s and the high on Tuesday should climb back into the upper 60’s.
