Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the changing colors and the smells of the season. Of course the weather is also so welcome after a steamy hot summer.
Northwest Louisiana has some of the best pumpkin patches in the region. You have several options if you want to get that great fall picture of your children and the family.
Autumn in the Shreveport-Bossier area will bring milder temps and lots of options to visit some pretty cool pumpkin patches. If you are looking to make some great memories, think about checking out some of these fun spots to ring in fall.

Of course, the most popular fall event in the region is Pumpkin Shine on Line
which will happen at Betty Virginia Park on Tuesday, October 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
But that's only a one night event. We have several pumpkin patches and farm events that will be open for the season.

The owners of The Dixie Corn Maze in Gilliam decided to retire after last season, and we didn't know if our area would have a new corn maze this year. But new owners have stepped up to keep that tradition going this year.
