Shreveport Man Arrested for Domestic Pistol-Whipping

On August 14th, 2023, at 12:35 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of domestic trouble in the 200 block of East 70th Street. Responding officers found that a male reportedly struck a woman in the head with a handgun and threatened to kill her. The female was transported to a local area hospital with injuries sustained during the incident. She is expected to recover.

Further investigation revealed that Orlando Fleming (8-6-88) was involved in this dispute. Officers were able to locate Fleming and take him into custody without incident.

Fleming was arrested by patrol officers and charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
