Shreveport Fire Department Fights Another Vacant Apartment Fire
Yesterday Morning Shreveport Fire Department was called out, once again, to the Villa Norte Apartments of Fullerton Avenue.
SFD arrived at the scene in around 3 minutes and could see smoke and flames pouring out of 3 separate units in the apartment complex. SFD called for more manpower due to the distance between the fires.
It took the efforts of 18 fire units and 40 firefighters to get the blaze under control. The fie was put out in just over 20 minutes. No reports of injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported at this time.
From SFD:
"This apartment complex remains vacant and no utilities are connected.
The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation by Shreveport Fire Arson Investigators.
The public is urged to report any suspicious activity at any vacant property to the proper authorities. This is the second fire incident reported at the Villa Norte Apartments for the year."
