You might be waking up this morning not being able to receive or make calls on your cell phone, especially if you have AT&T.

According to a recent CNN report, over 44,000 AT&T customers have reported outages.  But this may not be a comprehensive number, as this only accounts for those who have actually reported their outage to the website DownDetector.

AT&T customers are reporting having "No Bars" and being in SOS mode, but can still make and receive calls if they are on a wifi system.

The outage is not confined to just north Louisiana.  San Fransisco's Department of Emergency Management messaged on X that though they are experiencing issues, the 911 system is still funtional.

AT&T has not responded to questions as to the cause of the outage.  Customers are still able to make and receive calls via Wifi calling.

AT&T isn't the only carrier that has been affected.  Verizon, and T-Mobile customers are also reporting outages.

According to a recent FoxNews report:

The outages started popping up just before 3:30 a.m. ET, according to a graph shown on the website that tracks outages.

Most users, 55%, say they are having issues with mobile phone service. More than a third of customers reporting being affected say they have no signal at all, and 8% of users say their mobile internet is down.
