A bombshell report from the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Office verified initial accusations from local schools districts over misappropriated funds.

KTBS reports there were three Caddo Parish principals, bookkeepers, and teachers all included in this auditor's report. One of the bookkeepers was from Bossier Parish Public School, while the other school officials were all from Caddo Parish Public Schools.

According to KTBS, Two of the three Caddo Parish principals are still employed, while one has resigned. While in Bossier Parish, the accused bookkeeper was fired. The other employees have not been identified in the remaining accusations.

The Caddo Parish Schools were identified as Queensborough Leadership Academy, Werner Park Elementary, and North Highlands Elementary. The school included in Bossier Parish was identified as Plantation Park Elementary School.

At Queensborough Leadership Academy, the audits accused the principal, bookkeeper, teachers, and other staff members of misappropriating funds and outright theft. These were discovered initially by an internal audit, and confirmed by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Office. The internal audit claims the principal went as far as falsifying records. In all, thousands of dollars were missing.

Another Caddo Parish school included was Werner Park Elementary, where the principal was accused of both misappropriation and theft. The accusations say over $3,000 was taken.

North Highlands Elementary was the third Caddo Parish school included. The principal at that school was accused of misappropriation of funds by allegedly taking payments for tutoring that may have not happened. This was the lowest amount of money involved, with less than $2,000 being involved, but this principal resigned almost right away.

In Bossier Parish, more than $19,000 was allegedly taken from Plantation Park Elementary School. The accusations say the person in question used school deposits and credit cards for personal use. The suspect was fired from Bossier Parish Schools, and the evidence was turned over to the Bossier Parish District Attorney and Louisiana Legislative Auditor. Bossier Parish Schools also say that policy changes have been put in place to prevent this from happening again.
