Biggest Takeaways for Best Texas Rangers All Time

The most shocking choice was for Designated Hitter. Frank Howard is a MLB Hall of Famer, but not for the Texas Rangers. He played in 95 games for the Rangers and had nine home runs. He was the first ever Texas Ranger to hit a home run in their first season in 1972, but he would be traded to the Tigers in August of that same season.

Nothing against Ron Washington, but give me Bruce Bochy as the best Rangers manger ever. Yes, Washington has the most wins all time and back to back World Series appearances, plus several years over 90 wins. However, Bruce's decisions in the playoffs of 2023 got the Rangers their only World Series victory ever. Meanwhile Washington's decisions cost the Rangers World Series (Putting Nelson Cruz in the outfield).

It's a debate that can rage on forever, but I mostly agree with their choices. Let me know who you think should have come out on top.
