Felony Arrests In Nacogdoches County Nov 30 – Dec 6

There are currently 305 inmates in the Nacogdoches County Jail, 16 of whom are pretrial Class A and B Misdemeanor offenders.

This report focuses on the 206 pretrial felons (187 male and 19 female). There are 31 pretrial state jail felons and 52 in the "all other" category.

There were 4,488 bookings in and out of jail in 2024. The 15 pretrial and state jail felons pictured below were arrested in and near Nacogdoches, Texas from November 30th to December 6th, 2024.

NCSO Keeping Drugs Out Of Nacogdoches County

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department has a lot of ground to cover. This week out of the 15 people they arrested, 5 of them were for drug charges.

One of the men stands out because he isn't from the East Texas area. Dejuan Walker, 25, from Indianapolis, Indiana was charged with a large quantity of an illegal substance.

According to NacNewsNow.com Walker was one of three men from Indiana found in possession of drugs during the traffic stop this past June.  During a regular patrol, NCSO deputies made a traffic stop for speeding on the loop in the 3000 block of South West Stallings Drive.

Large Nac Drug Bust Leads To 3 Arrests

During the stop deputies smelled marijuana in the vehicle, and Walker (the driver) said he had smoked before getting in the car. During a search of the vehicle, they discovered a felony amount of illegal substances:

• 16 oxycodone pills.
• 16.2 lbs of liquid promethazine medication mixed with codeine.
• 1 lb of promethazine medication not mixed with codeine.
• THC Vape pen
• Marijuana
• Firearm
