Texans Spend The Most At Christmas; But What They Want Is Shocking.
Everything is bigger in Texas. It's a saying that rings true most of the time. Even when it comes to our holiday budgets. According to a recent study, Texas is the state that spends the most during the holiday season. What's shocking, though, is what happens when you look at the size of Texans' Christmas wishlists.
Are Texans More Prone To Give Than Receive At Christmas?
A recent study was done to see which states are the most expensive to buy for at Christmas. The study, which was done by the website Solitaired, scraped data on the web to see which states are the most and least expensive. Their findings were a little shocking.
Texas came in as having the fifth cheapest Christmas lists in the U.S. What makes this so hard to wrap your brain around, is the fact that Texas was recently crowned as the one who spends the most.
So, what are we spending on?
What Do Texans Spend The Most On During The Holidays?
The average Texan has a Christmas wishlist that costs around $552. That's not so bad when you think about the cost of expensive tech gadgets, clothing, and other top brand-name items.
Comparing these two studies, it seems that Texans are more interested in giving gifts than receiving them. It makes you feel good when you think about it.
Personally, I'm not much for receiving gifts. I'd much rather give a gift to those I love. At least for me, these studies make sense.
It seems that in the Lone Star State, we really know how to get into the spirit of the season.
