Popular Boat Dealer Calls It Quits in Bossier City
It was only a few years ago that the Brazzel family decided to get out of the marine/boat business.
While the Brazzels have maintained their ever-popular RV business, Bayou Outdoor Supercenter, the COVID pandemic helped them make the decision to sell the boating side of their outdoor ventures.
Just a few short years later, it would appear that was an intuitive decision as the current owners of Bayou Outdoor Powersports announced today they have closed the business effective immediately.
In their announcement via social media, Bayou Outdoor Powersports stated, "Effective 10/31/2023 Bayou Outdoor Powersports is closing our East Texas Street location. If you have a service boat here, please call us at 318-213-2628 for more information. If you have a service need moving forward, please call G&C Honda at 318-797-1222.

Concerned customers who currently have boats there for service work fired off questions like "I have a boat there. How can I get it? No one will answer your numbers listed" from Katrina Wood Atkins. To that, Bayou Outdoor Powersports responded, "o problem. If we’re already working on it we will continue. As well if it’s ready to be picked up we will schedule a time at your convenience. Feel free to message us your contact or leave us a voicemail and we will get back to you."
Rodney Brown asked on Facebook, "So what other location do you have for boat sales?" Bayou Outdoor Powersports replied, "None as of this reply"
This leaves many wondering who will be named the marine dealer who will honor all warranty work for boats sold by Bayou Outdoor Powersports, including Ranger Boats, Triton, Excel, Xpress, Bennington Pontoons and Yamaha Outboards.
One of the biggest questions on the Bayou Outdoor Powersports Facebook page regarded the huge stock of fishing tackle at the store and when asked about the intent to sell that, Bayou responded to a couple of separate guys, "No sir."
