Maybe you have a pond that has become an eyesore due to overgrowth of vegetation or the fishing just isn't what it used to be. It could be that you are in the planning stages for a pond you will soon build and you'd like to avoid a number of potential problems, you can get all your questions answered in one fell swoop.

A Free Workshop Is Being Offered Next Week To Answer Those Questions

The Bossier Parish Central Library & History Center will host a free workshop on "How to Maintain a Healthy Fish Pond" this coming Tuesday, May 14 at the Bossier Parish Central Library & History Center, 850 City Hall Drive, in Bossier City.

The featured speaker, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Biologist Jeff Sibley, will discuss a number of pond related issues including pond water quality, weed control, nutrient issues, pond stocking, and technical and financial assistance.

Anyone wishing to attend can register on-site beginning at 5:15 pm. The workshop will then start at 6:00 pm and conclude at 7:30 pm.
