Now is the time to get your flu shot,  according to health experts at Willis-Knighton Quick Care.   Spokesman Charlie Cavell and nurse Jan Huckabee say getting the vaccination now will protect you through November's flu season.

According to the Center for Disease Control,  everyone should get a flu vaccine each flu season,  but it’s especially important that certain high risk folks get the shots since their conditions can be more serious.

This includes pregnant women, children younger than 5,  even younger than 2 years,  folks 50 and older.  Also,  people with chronic medical problems,  nursing home residents and caregivers for them as well as child-care and other health care workers should be vaccinated against influenza.

Nurse Huckabee gave me a flu shot yesterday on the KWKH morning show.
