At the end of WrestleMania 33,after losing to Roman Reigns,  it appeared as if the Undertaker was officially ending his illustrious career. Taker ended the night by laying down his ring gear in the middle of the ring and walking off into the sunset. Many took it as a symbolic gesture of Taker passing the torch and moving on with his life.

However, it sounds like the Undertaker may not be done just quite yet. There is a lot of speculation that WWE may be in the process of setting of feud between Taker and John Cena.

During their promo Monday night, Roman and Cena both made mention of the Undertaker. Reigns stated that he has done something that Cena was not able to do, which is retire the Undertaker. Cena shockingly responded, “I’m not the Undertaker. I’m not a battered veteran at the end of his career with a bad hip.”

PWInsider also stated that there is a gong sound at the end of the No Mercy promo, so this may be teasing an Undertaker return in the near future. It was also noted that Taker was in New York SummerSlam weekend. And while he did not appear on TV, it was reported that he was in the ring working out behind closed doors.

Former Tag Team partner and rival Kane had this to say about the in ring future of Taker:

"Here's the thing, The Undertaker does what he wants to do. He deserves it, if he wants to come back for another match then he will. He's one of those guys that when it's time to watch him compete at Wrestlemania you look at him and say does he ever age? I think that will ultimately be the deciding factor on how he feels if he will perform again. I'll tell you this much, I'd like to have one more match against him. Or even another Brothers of Destruction run. I think we could have some outstanding matches against today's Tag Teams. He's had an absolutely phenomenal career and everything is just icing on the cake for him at this point"
