Achievements:  Won the Louisiana State Amateur at age 15.  Won the 1979 Western Amateur.  Won the 1980 North and South Amateur, U.S. Amateur, Western Amateur, Northeast Amateur.  Named the 1980 College Player of the Year by Golf Magazine while at Centenary.  Has 14 career PGA Tour wins.  Won the 1983 PGA Championship.  Named the 1983 PGA Player of the Year and was the leading money winner on tour.  1994 PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year.  Beat Tiger Woods in the final group of the 2000 Players Championship.  Played in four Ryder Cups and Captained the 2004 Ryder Cup Team.  2007 Payne Stewart Award winner for charitable efforts.  Founded the Christus-Schumpert Sutton Children's Hospital.  Awarded the Omar Bradley Spirit of Independence Award in 2004.  Currently plays on the Champions Tour.
